Our professionals have an average of 35+ years changing batteries and working on various timepieces. There are special tools, certain steps, and tricks of the trade that four generations of Braunschweiger’s have been trained as watchmakers to handle.
Additionally, at our jewelry stores, we mark our batteries with a date and guarantee their performance for one year. If during that time the battery fails, bring it back in and we’ll replace it at no cost.

Some places could charge as low as $5 to change your battery. My guess is they’re not trained technicians, and are trying to replace the battery as fast as possible.

You might not see your watch for a month or more, and spend over $100, but you’ll have trained experts who know the ins and outs of your watch. It’s a top-notch service but you’ll pay for it.
