Born in Berlin, Mr. Lindeman grew up in Uruguay, apprenticing with a fine European firm. In 1947, at the age of 17, he headed to New York, where he worked for several high-end jewelers. In 1955, he started designing his own jewelry. His designs ended up in the collections of Elvis Presley and tennis champion Chris Evert, as well as the permanent collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Art. He is also known for his animal designs, especially his equestrian-themed jewelry. Mr. Lindeman passed away in 2024, and with it his brand, so Peter Lindeman jewelry pieces up for sale are limited to what has been produced before 2025.
