BVLGARI, founded in Rome in 1884 by Greek Silversmith Sotirio Bulgari, is a globally recognized Italian luxury brand known for its jewelry, watches, accessories and fragrances. Initially a silversmith, Soritrio’s brand evolved to incorporate Roman and Greek artistic influences into its designs, eventually becoming a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and style. Initially using the spelling “Bulgari”, the family made the deliberate decision in 1934 to replace the “U” with a “V” in their name to honor the ancient Latin alphabet. The bold Bvlgari designs were very popular among luxury clients in the 1970s to 1990s, and the brand still operates today as a luxury leader.
