Sterling silver bracelet with five (5) U.S. half dollar coins in frames, dated 1943-1965. The 1943 coin used here is a “Walking Liberty” with lovely detail. The 1957 coin is a “Franklin Half Dollar” featuring Ben Franklin on one side and the Liberty Bell on the other. The other 3 coins are Kennedy Half Dollars which were first minted in 1964 to honor the late president, following his 1963 assassination. The 1964 Kennedy coins are 90% silver, while the 1965 Kennedy coin is 40% silver. American half dollar coins made in 1971 to the present day are made from nickel-clad copper (no silver at all.)
