Both Asprey and the House of Garrard are old, well know British jewelry and high-end gift establishments. Garrard was founded in 1743, and Asprey in 1781. Garrard designed the sapphire engagement ring worn by Princess Diana, which is now worn by Princess Katherine. The two venerable firms formed a partnership in 1998, but that joint venture ended in 2002. Both firms are still operating today.
